Here’s an idea,

what if Pop Music Rocked?!

That’s a question we asked ourselves when starting this band. Pop music is made up of finely crafted melodies, hooks, chord progressions and beautiful singing. But you already knew that. Fortunately, we realized something was missing and discovered a way to make it better. We made it ROCK and solved that problem (you’re welcome).

The Monsters of Pop band members have created a monster by playing to their strengths. Jennifer has an angelic, beautiful pop voice and never hits a bad note, Seen brings his hard rocking monster riffs & shredding solos, while Chris lays down heavy, funky grooves that hit hard. Together they magically blend the Pop and Rock worlds together into an entirely new genre. Te single best example is the song Beat It by Michael Jackson. Michael wrote that hook you can’t get out of your brain and Eddie Van Halen put his virtuosic solo stamp on it and makes it stand out from everything in their respective catalogs.

This is music that appeals to everyone, whether you like it for originality, irony or authentic delivery, you’ll find yourself with all new earworms of tunes you thought you knew by heart like Take On Me, Chandelier, Groove Is In The Heart and I Kissed A Girl. And then you’ll begin saying, “sick riffs bro” when you hear Hello, Eye of the Tiger, Umbrella and Uptown Funk. And yes, we play Beat It, just harder, obvs.

This isn’t some dream, these Monsters have been lighting up crowds for a long time and know how to put on a show by bringing high energy, showmanship, crowd participation, musical prowess and a great production to every performance.

You can rock out, you can dance if you want to, but the one thing is certain, The Monsters of Pop will make you groove and move, and don’t be surprised if you even get some headbanging in.

THE MONSTERS

Jennifer Wylde - Vocals

About Jennifer

Jennifer Wylde was born in Queens, NY but grew up in Miami, Fl. She developed an affinity for music at a young age and began classical studies in grade school and later studied opera performance through Florida International University. With her classical training, she then wanted to focus on her passion, singing classic hard rock. She was discovered and then featured on a Latin Vocal Competition TV program called Minuto de Fama. After making her TV debut, Jennifer became the lead vocalist of a local Miami classic rock band called Metropolis and later went on to form the band Vault, another classic rock band covering various artists like L.A. Guns, Van Halen and Whitesnake. Ms. Wylde then wanted to pursue a more serious music career and moved to California, she immediately landed in the lead singer spot of Loose Cannons where she toured with them for 2 years around the SoCal area and local Ventura music venues, she then became the Voice of The Guitar & Whiskey Club where she and Seen formed a musical bond that brought them back together in The Monsters of Pop. In addition to being in The Monsters of Pop, Jennifer is also the singer of the rock cover band Wyred, and as a songwriter releases solo material that regularly gets airplay on regional radio stations.

Seen Robinson - Guitars

About SEEN

Seen Robinson grew up as a guitar shredder in Wisconsin. After making his bones playing in local cover bands in his teens, he moved to Chicago and got to play and work with the top talent in the city. He then formed the ultra powerband Boomstick and branched out into songwriting, recording and producing. After realizing there wasn’t enough whiskey to keep him warm in the winter, he decided to move to a place that better suited his love of sand and surf. He found his true home when he moved to SoCal and the Hollywood Strip and led the bands, Sucker, Monster Zero, Varna, Rue and The Guitar & Whiskey Club band. Shortly after leaving the band he started creating Kaiju Music or better known as “the music Godzilla listens to when destroying your city” and has released a couple of songs under the moniker Kaiju Cats of Doom & Destruction (with a future album in the works). Wanting to play out live he put out a call for musicians and was incredibly lucky to have Chris’s wife see his post and told Chris to give him a call. Seen already knew who he wanted to be the singer and once he talked to Jennifer, the band was set…..and away we go!
